Jahron Anthony Branthwaite, better known as PARTYNEXTDOOR, is a Canadian-born singer, song-writer, rapper, and music producer. Branthwaite was born on July 3rd, 1983 in Mississauga, Ontario.

His mother is Jamaican and his father is Trinidadian. Ever since he was a child he was a part of his church’s choir along with his mother, who also used to sing. When he first joined as a preteen, he was bumped up to the senior level because he was so advanced at such a young age. In high school he began making music. He took videos of himself singing and uploaded them to MySpace under the name Jahron B. In July 2013, Branthwaite debuted a self-titled album, including tracks featuring Drake, which reached number 34 on the Billboards top R&B/Hip-Hip Albums chart almost immediately.

He then toured with rappers Drake and Future, and R&B singer Miguel in 2013. After the success of his EP, “PartyNextDoor”, Branthwaite released his second album, “PartyNextDoor Two”, which reached number 19 on Canadian music charts and number 15 on American music charts. His music is described as a blend of R&B and hip-hop, and he is often compared to fellow Canadian artists Drake and The Weeknd. He went on to sign with Drake’s Warner Bros supported OVO Sound label.
