The World/International genre fosters a multicultural musical atmosphere at Fusion Radio, bringing the best of traditional, grass-roots and popular foreign sounds; everything from salsa, folk, tango, reggae, and other foreign categories are brought together allowing listeners to enjoy several grass roots artists and popular international artists. Fusion Radio spins a wide variety of jazz, blues and experimental music. From early jazz and blues through to modern developments, eclecticism is the name of the game. Check us out if you’re just getting into jazz or if you’ve been listening for the past 40 years. In either case, you will find something new. Some styles you might hear on regular jazz programming: swing, ragtime, fusion, free jazz, bebop, post-bob, hard bob, acid jazz, Cuban, new age, etc. etc. If its improvised and it swings, we play it. One of the goals of CSCR Fusion Radio is to promote awesome music that does not get enough credit on regular mainstream radio. It doesn’t matter where it’s from, as long as it authentic, we will play it! For this reason, we have shows that focus entirely on promoting content that you will not be likely to come across anywhere else. We call these shows Pure Fusion. Pure Fusion shows are composed of material that you will only find at Fusion Radio. It is taking a combination of different flavors and fusing them into a unique creation that will blow you away.

As far as the music in this genre, it’s far more extreme and complex then other lifestyles that young people become immersed into. The bands often played in this genre have a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos and emphatic beats. It is extreme, aggressive and most definitely loud!

All that is required is that you turn it up real loud.

We here at Fusion Radio broadcast a wide variety of electronic music from Ace of Base to Zombie Nation. Although we do place an emphasis on the hottest, bangin’ electronic tunes out there, we also broadcast a wide variety of other genres of electronica from ambient to experimental.
